Description

Snapshot is an Instagram clone. It contains a feed and the abilities to follow users, view the users following you, create posts, like/unlike posts, and comment on posts. I created this from scratch with the help of two other team members. We used React with Python-Flask and SQLite3 for our database. We also developed a RESTful API for React's backend calls.  

Snapshot was completed as a series of three projects for my Web and Databases class at U-M. This class was my first introduction to web programming and full stack development. The goal of the first project was to create a static version of the website individually, using only html and css. Then, the second project allowed us to work in teams to create a full implementation of the site using only server-side dynamic pages, with Python-Flask and Jinja templating. The last project introduced us to React and implored us to use React to create a feed with an infinite scroll feature as well as re-implementing the like and comment features to use client-side dynamic pages.
